Decisions

Happy Friday! I am still not so patiently awaiting offers from the judges. I was feeling very apprehensive if I would be faced with a situation where I have to decide if I want to go to Dallas before I know whether I have an offer for Ohio. As I've mentioned before, my first choice is Ohio because it is two years and John and I can go together.

Last night, John and I were talking about it because I need to be prepared to know whether I can accept Dallas. We mutually decided that we will make it work no matter what. This may even involve John giving up his job and moving to Dalls with me. While we are not sure what is the best thing for us at this point, we both agreed that we will have almost a year to figure out the logistics and can make it work out in the end. Coming to this conclusion reduced my apprehension and has left me very excited. Before I was actually dreading getting an offer for Dallas, but now I can look forward to it, even though I'd still rather have Ohio.

I had planned on doing a dinner post last night, but my dinner just did not come out how I wanted. In fact, it was pretty bad. I decided to skip the post because it just wasn't worth taking the time to do it. I had intended to make a beef stroganoff, but it ended up being too watery and tasteless. I also steamed some type of squash, which ended up being gritty. The squash was from our CSA and I have no idea what kind it was. It was not butternut, spaghetti, delicata, or acorn. It the color of a butternut squash, but in a bell shape. Anyway, it wasn't too good. I ate it, but butternut and acorn squash are much better. After our not so satisfying dinner, we went to Dairy Queen for an end of the season blizzard. Brownie Batter for me and Reese's Pieces for John. Delicious!

Breakfast this morning was much, much better than dinner. I made it yesterday afternoon so it was ready and waiting for me today.
Overnight Oats
- 1/3 cup oats
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 spoons yogurt
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 spoon coconut butter
